Hijup.
A rebuild of Hijup's web storefront on Next.js 13: home, catalog, cart, and checkout.
About the project.
An end-to-end rebuild of Hijup's storefront (home, product catalog, cart, and payment) on Next.js 13 with a fresh UI, using the Setoko codebase as the foundation.
Challenges & decisions.
The starting point
Hijup was one of Setoko's priority customers, and their website had fallen behind. They needed a new site, built and maintained on the Setoko platform. The Setoko codebase gave me the merchant and catalog foundation, but it needed a full storefront experience built on top.
Why I rebuilt it
I wanted to push the newest Next.js (version 13, with the then-new App Router) on a real, complex use case instead of a demo, and a fashion storefront had all of it: catalog browsing, cart state, and checkout.
What I built
The storefront end to end: home, catalog, product pages, cart, and payment flow, with a new UI design throughout.
Results
A working e-commerce storefront on a modern stack, and proof the Setoko codebase could support a real storefront beyond its original scope.
Built with.
A look inside.
